NOW HIRING: Maintenance Technician
A Maintenance Technician performs basic property maintenance functions to ensure tenants maintenance concerns are handled promptly and correctly. Face to face interaction with tenants is sometimes required so must be able effectively communicate in English. Technician must provide his/her own tools and have reliable transportation to and from properties.
Maintenance Duties, these duties include but are not limited to:
Plumbing: Includes the repair, replacement or installation of faucets, pipes, hot water tanks, toilets, garbage disposals, dishwashers, water-dispensing refrigerators, and washing machines, plunging, snaking, unclogging sinks, etc.)
Electrical: Basic knowledge of electrical work, including changing electrical outlets, replace light bulbs and sockets, clean and repair circuit breaker panels etc.
Drywall repair: Includes filling in small holes caused by nails and minor dings from normal wear and tear, as well as patching some larger holes. Experience hanging drywall would be a plus.
Painting: Includes minor touch-ups following damage repair and new coats of paint applied to unit walls and trim.
Appliance repair: Includes the repair, replacement or installation of major household appliances, such as refrigerators, dishwashers, range ovens, washers and dryers, hot water tanks, and air conditioners.
Cleaning/housekeeping: Includes maintaining a tidy appearance in shared community locations. Includes cleaning fixtures, floors and other surfaces in vacated units before new renters assume occupancy.
Customer service: Includes professional, prompt and courteous correspondence with renters when providing maintenance services, and with contracted vendors that provide additional facility services.
Basic maintenance knowledge: plumbing, electrical, mechanical systems, painting, and janitorial/cleaning, etc. Prior maintenance, construction, and/or handyman experience is preferred.
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENT: High School Education or Equivalent preferred but not required
• Must be able to move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 50 pounds without assistance.
• Reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling and stooping. Stand, sit, or walk for an extended period.
• Stand, sit, or walk for an extended period.
• Climb stairs, climb ladder
Jobs requiring other duties may be presented. As a 1099 contractor all work is voluntary and performed at the discretion of the contractor. Compensation is hourly and commensurate with experience.
